2013 Events at Tilly Foster Farm Museum All events are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.
April through August - Junior 4-H six week farm program
A hands-on enrichment program for children ages 6 to 10 featuring: exploring life on a farm, learning about livestock & farm animals and discovering careers in agriculture. Program is led by 4-H Farm Friends. Contact Dena L. Altavilla, 4-H Youth & Family Development Program Director, at (845) 278 – 6738.
June 12th - Putnam Arts Council
Monoprint Workshop with instructor Jeanne Demotses. This workshop demonstrates how to make them on a press as well as by using every day tools. Hours: 9:30AM - 12:00PM. Cost: $60. Registration forms @ www.putnamartscouncil.com or phone the Arts Council at 845.803.8622
June 15th - Father's day
10am- 3pm
Fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and more will enjoy an exciting day at the farm featuring:
Archery demonstrations and lessons, wood workshop led by Home Depot representatives, old fashion games and a Birds of Prey display at Noon. The Master Gardeners of Putnam County will host talks on gathering roof run off for watering plants and tomato container gardens.
Children’s activities include: bounce house, hay wagon rides and pony rides.

Plein Air Painting activity at Tilly Foster Farm with exhibit to follow.
August 17th - "Meet the Animals" Tour
Educational tour and talk with handouts of the different rare and endangered animals at the Farm
Summer - date TBA - Pony Show/Competition
Pony Show and Competitive games such as egg race, relay race.
Sept 14 & 15 - 6th Annual Antique Tractor and Car Show
A very popular event that includes unique tractors and farm implements, antique cars, water well drilling rig, wood shingle mill, corn sheller, working engines, hand pumps, apple sorter and apple press and numerous other working farm equipment. Plus hay rides and pony rides.
$5 parking donation requested.
September 15 - The Nancy Allen Trio
From the NY Philharmonic, will play in the Lodge at 3:00pm.
October 11th - photo contest entries due
Children under 13 submit photographs taken at Tilly Foster for possible inclusion in the annual Farm calendar.
October 26th - Halloween at the Farm
Costume contest, pumpkin painting, bobbing for apples, corn husk doll making, face painting, corn husk doll making, other crafts and a haunted house Plus hay rides and pony rides.
November - Alexander String Quartet
Formed in New York in 1981, the Quartet is the premier string quartet of San Francisco. Performance in the Lodge, date and time to come.
Nov 16th - Reception for Photo Contest Winners
A display of the winning photographs and the Tilly Foster Farm calendars for sale.
December Christmas Parade - date TBA
Once again the Tilly Foster Farm volunteers attend the annual Carmel Christmas parade with antique tractors, antique cars, hay wagons and horses ridden by volunteers.
December 14th - 4th Annual Christmas craft fair
Before Christmas sale of handmade items and gifts such as jewelry, handmade jams and jellies, candles, wool, knitted items, antiques, ornaments, handmade candies, and more.
December 15 - Journey To The Manger
The Gilead Presbyterian Church along with Trinity Lutheran, Drew Methodist, and Patterson Community churches present a free live nativity event with actors located around the farm and guided tour of the Christmas story.
